Boat Launch Facilities
Glenn County Planning & Public Works has two boat launching facilities located in Butte City as well as Ord Bend.
The Ord Bend Park and Boat Launch Facility is on the west bank of the Sacramento River at river mile 184 near the community of Ord Bend. The major access route to this facility is by Interstate 5 (I-5) to Willows in Glenn County. From I-5, head east ten miles on State Highway 162 to the community of Glenn, head north seven miles on State Highway 45 to the community of Ord Bend, turn east on County Road 32 and less than one mile you’re there. The entrance is located on the north side of the road at 8300 County Road 32.
The Butte City Boat Launch Facility is located on the east bank of the Sacramento River at river mile 169 in the community of Butte City. The access road is located on the north side of State Highway 162 as the highway turns to the east at 8300 Highway 162 in Butte City. It connects with State Highway 45 three mile to the west, I-5 seventeen miles to the west, and State Highway 99 fifteen miles to the east.
